January 3, 2012 - Please plan to attend the annual meeting for the Emerald Recreation Club aka Emerald Community Centre on Thursday, January 12 at 7pm at the Community Centre.

We will have a wrap-up of 2010-2011 activities at the Community Centre as well as the presentation of the financial report and the election of new board members.

October 10, 2011 - Every community has a few people who take it upon themselves to do what they can for the good of the entire community. We would like to thank a few of thoes individuals who have recently done their good deeds for the Community of Emerald.

Ted Jeffery recently volunteered his time to install a much needed screen door in the kitchen at the Community Centre. This door was long overdue and we thank you for taking the time to ensure the job was done right!

Allan Croken recently took the lead on repairing the playground area of the community with assistance from Gary Ross and Darcy MacLeod. Allan noticed the the playground needed a little TLC and then figured out what had to be done to fix things up. Due to their efforts a fence was repaired, swings were replaced, boards were fixed and the slide was repaired. The kids and parents of the Community and surrounding areas thank you for your efforts!

Barry Mayne with assistance of the staff at BBEMA recently cleaned up the overgrown bed of shrubs at the Train Station. The area now looks much less like a jungle. Thanks!

March 21, 2010 - On July 30, 2009 a lone male caused damage to the outdoor pop vendor at the Emerald Community Centre. If you recognize the individual in the video, please contact the East Prince Detatchment of the RCMP at 436-9300 or Crime Stoppers.
